An onsite security assessment is a systematic and comprehensive evaluation of a ship or property's security measures and vulnerabilities. It serves several important purposes such as pinpointing weaknesses and vulnerabilities in the existing security infrastructure. It also allows for the identification of risks, whether they are related to theft, vandalism, or even natural disasters, so that proactive measures can be taken to mitigate these risks.
The ISPS Code applies to ships on international voyages (including passenger ships, cargo ships of 500 GT and upwards, and mobile offshore drilling units) and the port facilities serving such ships. As a NIMASA Recognised Security Organization and our vast experience in security and risk assessments, we provide and support shipping companies, port facilities, estates and industries with their security and risk assessment of their ships and facilities by developing port facility security assessment, port facility security plan, ship security plan, facility risk assessment and other assessments.
